A Northern Irish Mans View on Obama

I still can't hardly believe we are finally out with the old and in with the new! I have believed from the beginning of Obama's campaign that he was a good candidate for president. As a Gen Xer I breath a sigh of relief to have a younger president who believes in world piece. Someone willing to change the old ways to make this a better world for us all.

A friend of mine from Northern Ireland wrote this in a email to me today.

"About your new President..... there was a documentary about him on TV last night and I suddenly realise what a wonderful, genuine, caring human being he is. I already liked him, he seemed honest and wholesome but I really, really, really am certain that this man has a full and even understanding and appreciation of the worlds needs. He's a peacemaker. I disliked George W. Bush from the moment he ignored the UN Resolution 1441 and declared war on Iraq despite no firm intelligence that Saddam was harbouring WMD. "

I think after all is said and done that about sums it up. Don't you think?
