Well Good News Everyone...

Wow it's been a while since I've blogged and my apologies. Things have changed a bit around here. Back in June of 07 we started trying to get pregnant and low and behold 3 months later we were. It was pretty sweet that we found out on the night of our 8th Wedding Anniversary that our life was about to change drastically. The first 3 months were a challenge, but in the second trimester things got better. I had a very good pregnancy except for having sciatic nerve pain. That was not a lot of fun and I had it the entire 9 months, but it seems to have gone away after having the baby.

Well she's a cutie. She was born on June 7 at 11:16 a.m. after exactly 24 hours of labor. It was pretty neat that she was born on 6-7-08. It's a nice and easy birthday to remember. Her name is Sophia Rowan and she was 8 lb.. 1 ounce and 21 1/2" long. What surprised us all was the amount of hair she had when born and still has 5 weeks later. Sophia has been a very sweet and happy baby. She sleeps for 4 to 6 hours at a time at night. Very rarely does she cry and only when hungry or tired. She loves her bath time and smiles quite a bit now. Just in the last week or so she has started cooing at me and trying to talk. She's had weekly visits to the Hutterite Colony to see all our friends. They have fallen in love with her and don't want to let her go home. When she was about 1 week old she went for her fist cowboy excursion. She's been out about 8 or 9 times now moving cows and such. I think she has her dad wrapped around her little finger and I am not far behind. I can still remember Dan saying when she was about 2 days old "I sure thought this was going to be harder". I think it surprised us both at the amount of sleep we were able to get and continue to get for the time being. I guess we are lucky! Dan has created a web site for our little bundle of joy. Check it out it your interested. It's sophiarstewart.com

I took a couple of weeks off of making miniatures and jewelry except for filling orders. Now I am back at it. The one things that's changed is the bassinet in my work worm with a baby in it and usually a cat! Elisa (My female kitty) thinks that most of the baby items are hers. Especially the changing table and the bassinet. She even tried the baby swing. She claims all soft blankets. Rascal (Dan's male kitty) is just down right frightened of her. Elisa has gone through some with drawels at not constintly being on my lap, but we tend to work out comprimises from time to time.

Well I promise to be better about blogging! I think maybe a new recipe is about due. Bye for now.
